Goals vs. Resolutions......

Similar but not the same. I have been in the habit of asking clients in January for their fitness goal for the year, most never have an answer but with some thought will come up with one. I have seen all those goals achieved.

Now resolutions, on the other hand, are not realized as often. HHhmmm!!!

You may remember an archived blog about the Cedarbeach Triathlon and the story about a dear friend who achieved her new year's goal, she is always the success story that comes to mind. Clearly when I asked her for a goal she had not one idea - and then decided that her goal was to complete a triathlon. Not a runner at all, not a biker at all - but she was a swimmer. She worked very hard!- and she achieved more than she envisioned. Kudos Denise!

As always, not the first to think about this - I googled exactly this "goals vs resolutions" and came up with a very nice article by Marie Disbrow -

We share similar ideas in planning - I am a "baby step" planner - set yourself up for success!

"Our goals can only be reached through a vehicle of a plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act. There is no other route to success."
